Meet the Team

Dr. Maxim Lotovsky grew up in Sheepshead Bay, attended Midwood High School, and Hunter College for his undergraduate studies. After volunteering at an animal clinic at a young age, he was certain he wanted to become a veterinarian. He received his degree in Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, and completed his clinical year at the University of Minnesota. He took full advantage living in the Caribbean for three years, where he became scuba certified and enjoyed all the luxuries that the Caribbean sea had to offer. He loves to travel and has been to many countries in the world; including Turkey, Israel, Italy, Spain, Ukraine (where he was born) and more. His most memorable trip was to South Africa, where he had the opportunity to work with exotic wildlife such as lions, rhinoceroses, cheetahs, and antelopes. He also had the opportunity to cage dive with great white sharks! He has a cute kitty, Leonidas.  We welcome Dr. Lotovsky to the Ark Life Vet family.

Dr. Maria Fuzailov is originally from Brooklyn, New York. She is passionate about building lasting relationships with pets and their families through compassionate, individualized care. She has a special interest in preventative medicine, believing that proactive weliness is the foundation of a long, healthy life. She also embraces an integrative approach to veterinary medicine, incorporating therapies such as acupuncture alongside traditional treatments to support each patient's overall well-being. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Fuzailov enjoys spending time outdoors, whether hiking scenic trails or watching peaceful sunsets. She especially treasures time with her beloved maltipoo named Rosie.

With over a decade of experience in veterinary practice management, Viktor Gorbachenko plays a key role in shaping the client experience at Ark Life Veterinary. He’s passionate about Fear Free Medicine and believes that open, transparent communication is the foundation of great veterinary care. Viktor is also deeply interested in the evolving landscape of veterinary medicine, particularly in the areas of pharmaceuticals and technology, and is committed to keeping the clinic at the cutting edge.

Known for his calm, compassionate approach, Viktor works closely with both clients and staff to create a welcoming, low-stress environment for every visit. He shares his home—and much of his inspiration—with two dogs, Teddy and Alf.

With nearly 10 years of experience as a dedicated veterinary assistant, Bogdan is committed to providing compassionate, high-quality care to all animals. Known for excellent communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor, Bogdan ensures that clients feel comfortable and informed during every visit. Through years of hands-on experience, they have developed a deep understanding of animal care—from routine check-ups to emergency procedures—always prioritizing the well-being of both pets and their owners. With a passion for animal health and a commitment to ongoing learning, Bogdan continues to provide exceptional service and support to both clients and the veterinary team.

Jessica is a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with nearly a decade of hands-on experience in animal care.

Known for her deep compassion and calm presence, she is both Fear Free and CPR certified, ensuring every patient receives care in a low-stress, safe environment. Jessica's commitment to animal health and welfare has led her to the next step in her journey-pursuing her DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. With a solid foundation in the field and a passion that drives her forward, Jessica is poised to make a lasting impact in veterinary medicine.

Yvette Viera is our office manager and a certified Veterinary Technician. Yvette graduated from S.U.N.Y. at Farmingdale in 1981 and began working at this office in 1988. She has extensive interest and experience in pet care and loves working with our clients to help keep their pets healthy. Her other interests include computers and she has been instrumental in maintaining and utilizing our large system. When she's not at work, she enjoys sight seeing, going to Cape Cod and Rehoboth Beach. She also enjoys walks with her two dogs, Aoibheann & Liadan and relaxing at home with her three cats.
